Understanding Effective Communication

Effective communication, which requires both congruence (clear sending) and active listening (accurate receiving), carries two risks: the exposure of the way we really are and the possibility of becoming different. Few of us find it easy to take these risks. This program will focus on developing those skills that will build the inner security and personal courage required for effective interpersonal communication. It will also explore practical skills that will enhance our ability to speak and listen well, as well as basic styles of relating.
